Thanks to Mulholland books for my copy.
This is the first Sabine Durrant novel I have read, certainly enjoyed it enough to read her previous novel too. Which I will now have to locate and purchase.
A good fast page turner which does keep you gripped! A few twists and turns to keep you guessing throughout.
However, from the other reviews I had seen I was expecting a little more from the book.

One Response so far.

I enjoyed reading this book but the last quarter of the book felt disappointing. Without spoiling anything, the author felt the need to explain a number of events that occurred in the book to ‘backup’ the ending. The fact that she felt she needed to explain them is what bugs me. Why not leave it open to our interpretation? It feels like the author had a lack of confidence in the integrity of the story, it just feels forced or did she have a lack of confidence in me, the reader? Is that, what is bugging me?
