Thank you to the publishers for this early copy, I admit at first I had looked at this book and thought why have I been sent this to review?
Does this look like something I had requested or would even enjoy? So I had parked it carefully to one side in a very big TBR pile but then I realised which other books it was being compared to and the final tipping point… she also grew up in the NE. Although many years after me.
So yesterday whilst reading another book I thought well lets see what the first few pages are like… several hours later I had finished the entire book!
This book flows so easily and is completely addictive!
Yes, I think it is fair to compare to Rosie Price & Sally Rooney! This lady is certainly one to watch and if there is a second book ready for review…. send it over please!
As with the two authors above I get to read this with two hats on, the girl who was a university and now the mum of girls at university & ready to attend university in September. This gives two very different perspectives.
I have already recommended this to many since waking up this morning!
