With every Tom Palmer book I have read I have been impressed, I have no hesitation in recommending any of his books to young readers, teachers, parents etc.
This one is obviously from his Roy of the Rovers series, so plenty of football action included, but not just football action.
You get a little look at the regime of a professional footballer, their diet etc, you also look at his home life in this book.
No spoilers will be given but with Tom you always get more than you might predict and always a top class read!
