Thank you to Judith and her publishers for this early review copy which arrived yesterday, it was an absolute pleasure to receive as I have previously loved ‘The Secret Starling’ and ‘The Pear Affair’ both by Judith too. So I obviously started this with high expectations and devoured it in one sitting last night! Wonderful characters, especially Patch and Lillian. Fantastic story which will easily pull at your heart strings until there is no way your head can leave the book until the very last page. I obviously need to know if Patch is going to appear in the next adventure too? This is a very well paced children’s historical fiction adventure set on a ship at sea. With peril all around, can they uncover all the dangers they face before it is too late?
Completely and utterly recommended to young and old!
