Thank you to the publishers for this early review copy, I was absolutely delighted to receive this book. Yes, of course I read it straight away I had been pacing for the postie dropping it off.
The Angel of Death is the third book in the DCI Jack Parker series, which is a truly brilliant series – so if you haven’t yet read these – hop on board quickly.
I would love to see Trevor’s books getting the readers and recognition they deserve so please read them, review them, recommend them, buy them as gifts etc etc.
For best results I would certainly recommend you read the first two in the series before this one – however, it does work perfectly brilliantly as a standalone but it’s exceptional in the series:
The Silent Killer
The Inside Man
The Angel of Death is the order.
This book is set in Newcastle Upon Tyne, the DCI has an issue to deal with as he works and things are not about to get better for him.
But his day to day job is of course very demanding and he needs to be in peak condition mentally and physically for it.
No spoilers but Trevor is excellent at bringing in a social dilemma into his crime novels and this makes them so much more than your ordinary read.
So yes, I find myself now pacing around wondering how long before I can read the 4th in the series…
(He has also published a standalone – You can Run and a trilogy which starts with The Man on the Street).
All of Trevor’s books are brilliant but this series is exceptional and I truly recommend them all.
