The Correspondent by Virginia Evans is longlisted for the Women’s Prize 2026.
I would be delighted if it won – so fingers crossed it is in the shortlist which is announced later this month.
This book is told in letters, the writing is superb and I was completely invested from the very first page.
The story is so full of emotions.
Throughout the book I was getting Elizabeth Strout vibes – maybe that’s just me – but this is a big compliment in my opinion as I love her books.
Totally recommended!
Get it, read it and recommend it…maybe even write a letter?
