1970’s Liverpool, few potential cases all on the scene, both current and older.
Excellent characters, good plot and pacing.
Interesting back stories for the main characters, ensuring I’m invested enough to read the next in the series.
Leigh Borrowdale and Des Chung are certainly characters I need more from so I am overjoyed to have book 2 – The Silent Places lined up to read next.
Very happy to recommend The Departed to crime thriller fans.
