On first glance I wasn’t sure I would have picked this book up in the shops myself… but after reading it I would love to reread it – which is genuinely a very rare occurrence for me.
I would also like to see this turned into a TV series, it deserves a big audience.
From the first chapter of the book I knew this book would get under my skin and it absolutely did.
In no way did I think this was a debut while reading.
This is a book that I am very happy to thrust at everyone to read.
Set in India, the subject matter is vast, families, relationships, politics, corruption and class.
Brilliant characters and a book that will be very hard to ignore once you start reading.
Whatever Ruthvika writes next will certainly be bought by me.
Absolutely recommended.
