Such a beautifully written book!
The book is written via letters and telegrams and beautifully describes the characters, their lives and the time in which it is set just after the second world war.
Certainly recommended

    There was nothing to dislike about this book. The story is told by a series of letters and in the beginning I found this confusing but as it progressed I began to find it all a bit too nice. The horror of the occupation really didn’t come across in the letters, it was all very politely avoided but maybe that was the point.
