Thank you to the publishers for this early review copy, I started it practically straight away as I had loved ‘Deadman’s Pool’ so much – which is book 8.
I have actually only read book 8 & now book 9 ‘The Mermaid’s Cry’ and I have absolutely loved them both!
There is a link between the books but in my opinion both also work superbly well as standalone reads.
The TENSION in this book is utterly superb and plans were cancelled this morning so that I could get this finished without delay.
Kate is clearly a brilliant writer! Her characters are wonderful and her plotting is excellent.
Absolutely recommended.
