I do not read a great deal of non fiction and it has been a very long time since I read any true crime… but this was longlisted for the Women’s Prize for Non Fiction 2025.
This was an excellent read.
Truly addictive, well paced and of course a little history lesson thrown in for added bonus.
Violence against women, shame for pregnancy outside of marriage…
It might just make you think that somethings never change.. I’d be very happy to see it shortlisted.
