It had sat in my pile for a little while but yesterday it was announced that it was on the Women’s Prize for fiction longlist 2025 so of course I started to read it immediately.
The Persians is a good debut and I am interested to see what Sanam writes next.
It was in part funny, but also quite sad in places too.
A multi generational look at the Valiat family starting in Iran and later in America.
