Thank you to the publishers for this early review copy, it is fair to say that I have been desperate to read this since loving The Murder at World’s End.
The Murder at World’s End is Ross’s first adult novel and the first in this series – also it’s brilliant.
Both The Murder at World’s End and book 2 – The Shadows of Kensington Gore work very well as standalone reads but as always for the best character experience do please read in order.
Decima and Stephen are fabulous characters and obviously I am now eagerly awaiting book 3.
The plotting and pace are superb, once you start reading you really will be sneaking off with the book for a few minutes peace and extra pages at every opportunity possible.
The storyline is twisty and certainly keeps you on your toes deciding who is responsible for the crimes and who can be trusted.

Ross Montgomery is also very well known for his children’s novel – a brilliant example of which is The Midnight Guardians.

Very happy to recommend all his books for adults and children.
