Thank you to the publishers for this early review copy, I confess I had been desperate to get my hands on this since I first saw it on twitter.
This is a heart breaking book set across two time lines, World War 2 and the construction of the Berlin Wall.
Whilst some of the actions and situations you will read about will utterly break your heart there are of course important moments of family love, friendships and good deeds.
The book is very well written, you will take so many of the characters straight into your heart. I genuinely didn’t want to put the book down at any time, I just had to know if these characters could survive.
Whatever Josie writes next I will absolutely be requiring a copy. Very happy to recommend.
