Well I have had this on my wish list since reading An American Marriage by Tayari Jones a few years ago, it finally arrived this weekend so I had to dive straight in. An American Marriage will always hold a special place in my heart, very few books will ever beat it. So I started this a little unsure of what to expect, knowing it was written before An American Marriage. To be honest it took me a few pages to settle into it, then I wondered about all the characters and their place in the novel. However, rest assured there was no reason to worry it all came together very well. I am very happy to recommend this on to others.
Also loved Silver Sparrow, so I am just waiting for Leaving Atlanta to arrive now…
