I am so pleased to report that this is a superb debut and I hope to get my hands on all future novels.
I loved Bo so much in this story and with each page I turned I needed to spend more time with him but I also feared deeply that this book appeared to have the power to break my heart.
Break my heart it certainly did, it is a very very rare event that a book can reduce me to tears, but it did last night – thank heavens I finished it in bed and not on public transport or in a cafe etc as I had carried it with me while out and about. Even writing this review is reducing me to tears so I imagine my words are completely garbled as you read this.

So in conclusion, superb writing, I totally loved Bo and it broke me!
Absolutely recommended, but you will need tissues so be prepared.
